Accessibility guide
Accessible on a flat concrete and timber path as far as Piccabean Park, with several seating options. Five steep steps with a handrail then end the walk for wheelchair and mobility aid users, and there is no alternative route around them. The accessible bay at the end of Little Main Street sits on a slope, which may make transfers harder.
There is an accessible parking bay at the end of Little Main Street. This parking bay is on a slope and a person using a wheelchair may require assistance to exit or enter a vehicle. You can then cross the road and go past the shop fronts or stay on the other side for a short distance before arriving at Piccabean Park. This is via a flat accessible concrete and timber pathway. There are several seating options in the area.
If you continue on the walk there are five steep steps that lead you around the corner onto Margaret Street. There is a handrail available. There is no alternative to avoid the steps, doing so would force you out onto a very busy road and up a very steep incline. This is where the walk ends for those using a wheelchair or mobility aid. If you are able to negotiate the steps the path continues up an incline for approximately 20 metres along the main street before leveling out. The path then takes you through the town and past the Fire Station before descending a steep slope not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility walkers. The path then crosses a busy road followed by a gradual incline to eventually arrive at the end of the trail. This later section of the path would require mechanical assistance to negotiate.
